About the Presenter: Alex McGowan, Levelton Consultants
Alex McGowan has been a building-science consultant for 28 years. He is a member of ASHRAE Technical Committees 4.4 (Building Materials and Building Envelope Performance), 4.5 (fenestration), and 1.12 (Moisture Control in Buildings). He is the author of Chapter 26 of the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals (Heat, Air, and Moisture Control in Building Assemblies – Material Properties) , and helped to develop computer software that was part of the CSA A440 Standard for evaluating condensation in window assemblies. He is now Levelton’s Vice-President, Technical Services, and is based in Victoria.
