Insulspan
Dave has been with Insulspan for nearly 25 years, initially manufacturing the equipment that is currently used to laminate and press the panels, then onto the shop floor where the panels are custom cut and pre-fabricated, and from there to the job site where they are installed. For several years now, Dave has worked in two official roles at Insulspan – sales manager covering western Canada and the United States and certified site advisor, travelling to sites around North America, Japan and New Zealand to assist and train crews on better building methods for Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)
About the Topic: Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) – Building Envelopes for a Sustainable Future
The presentation will introduce Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), provide a brief history, composition of the panels, applications and connection details; but most importantly, the presentation will focus on the building envelope characteristics of the panels, especially in regards to vapor diffusion, air-tightness, reduced thermal bridging and superior R-values.
