ABOUT THE TOPIC: Beneath the Façade-Life Cycle Costs for High Performance Exteriors
Exploring the economic and thermal performance implications of enclosure design strategies, this session digs into the ‘The Cost of Building Enclosures’ and unpacks a number of Life Cycle Cost considerations in a unique and accessible format unlike any previous studies completed before it. The session will provide a synopsis of BC centric implications as drawn from a comprehensive National analysis completed by RDH Building Science Laboratories on behalf of the EIFS Council of Canada. It answers a number of questions surrounding enclosure system design choices in this era of heightened building envelope performance expectations and the pressures of budgetary realities.
