SUMMARY:Vancouver Luncheon Seminar: Pushing the Envelope With Fire Rated Glazing
DESCRIPTION:About the Presenter:\n \nRyan Dennett\, President\nGreenlite Glass Systems Inc. \nMr. Dennett has glazing in his DNA starting with his first job working at his family’s glazing company starting at the age of 16. Since then then he has followed his passions and successes which has led to the opening of Greenlite Glass in 2006. As a pioneer in Walkable fire rated skylights\, Mr. Dennett continually finds himself in the center of innovation\, glass design and manufacturing. Completed projects with Google\, Harvard University\, Salesforce Transit Center and currently working on JP Morgan Chase Building New York. He continues to lead the industry by taking on challenges of Visionary Architects. \n  \nAbout the Topic: Pushing the Envelope With Fire Rated Glazing\nHealth\, safety\, and welfare remain a fundamental aspect of building design practices. Incorporating fire-rated glass products provides creative design options while adhering to current building codes. The new generation of fire-rated glazing systems are available for exterior curtainwall systems\, interior glass fire separations\, vestibules and doors incorporating larger sizes that can withstand a fire for longer periods of time. Many fire-rated products can provide high impact safety rating\, solar control\, thermal performance\, sound reduction\, bullet and security resistance\, to name only a few multi-functional features. This presentation will define categories of fire-rated glass systems\, as well as the related test standards and current building code requirements for specifying architectural fire-rated glazing. \n  \nSEMINAR PRESENTATION:\n\n\n\nPushing the Envelope With Fire Rated Glazing\n \nRyan Dennett\, PresidentGreenlite Glass Systems Inc.\nSept 2022
