DESCRIPTION:About the Presenters: Al Jaugelis and Gordon Kyle \nAl Jaugelis is a Fenestration Specialist with RDH Building Engineering Ltd. and the Technical Consultant for the Fenestration Association of BC. He played a key role in initiating the “Review of Window Energy Rating Procedures for Canada” research project and is the lead on a new guide\, “Best Practices for Window and Door Replacement – Wood-Frame Buildings”. \nGordon Kyle has been a manufacturer’s rep to builders and the construction community for 30 years. Since 2005 he has been running Euroline’s Victoria office\, promoting industry and consumer acceptance of energy efficient windows and doors. \nAbout the panel: \nThis two person panel discussion will provide practical information on the specification and appropriate installation of windows for Part 9 residential and small commercial buildings. This includes new construction and window replacement in existing buildings. The panel will present on two interrelated\, but separate topics – attendees are welcome to stay for the first half or the full extended session. \nThe first half focuses on installation of windows in new and existing buildings. Al will present information from a consultant perspective\, including an overview of the soon-to-be-released HPO guide\, Best Practices for Window and Door Replacement – Wood-Frame Buildings.
