He is also an active member of the Special Interest Group for Dynamic Evaluation of Roofing Systems (SIDGERS). \n  \nJosh Jensen was an RCABC-accepted roof inspector and is an RCI Registered Roof Observer (RRO) and Registered Roof Consultant (RRC). The previous 14 years Josh was a consultant at an Engineering firm\, more recently Josh is a Principal at a building envelope and roofing construction firm and brings insight in the roofing and waterproofing industry from multiple angles. \n  \nLeonard Coughlin has been an active member in the British Columbia roofing industry since 1982 . He began with Tremco in 1982 and opened the Carlisle office for Western Canada in 1985 . In 2000 he joined Enercorp as an Independent representative for Carlisle Syntec . He has served on the Board of Directors for RCI WCC and the RCABC and has been the leader in the development of single ply roofing in B.C. for 35 years. \n  \nAbout the Topic: Single Ply Roofing Membranes\nIn our rain intense region\, we tend to avoid risks and stick to what is familiar when it comes to roofing. As with many building systems\, single ply roofing did entail a learning curve which the industry has within the last decade largely overcome. Evidence of this is the level and quality of warranties now offered by single ply roofing manufacturers. \nThis presentation gets three unique perspectives on the single ply roofing industry. First\, Leonard will cover what single ply roofing systems can achieve and the use over the last few decades within BC. Josh will then cover his history in the roofing consulting market as well as how and why his perspective of roofing membrane selection changed over his 15 years within the industry. Hamish will than wrap up with the perspective of the RCABC and how the choice of single ply roofing can affect the project. \n  \nRegistration for May 17th Vancouver Luncheon:\nAll WALK-UPS (non pre-registered attendees) must pay a blanket price of $65.00\, including Students and Members. \nThis luncheon seminar qualifies for 1.0 Core Learning Unit.
