SUMMARY:Vancouver Luncheon Seminar: Closed Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam; much more than an Insulation
DESCRIPTION:Agenda:\n11:45 – 12:00   Registration & Housekeeping\n12:00 – 12:30   Lunch\n12:30 –    1:30   Presentation and Q&A\n   1:30 –    2:00   Networking (optional) \nAbout the Presenter:\n \nMichael J. Pace\, C.E.T.\, BSS\nBuilding Resource Incorporated \nMichael Pace is the owner and president of Building Resource Incorporated (2002)\, manufacturer’s agent for specialty construction products. He is a Certified Engineering Technologist and a Building Science Specialist (BSS 2008). Michael has extensive experience promoting specialty construction products in Canada and the USA in various market segments including building restoration\, machinery grouting\, corrosion resistant flooring\, parking deck waterproofing\, gypsum board\, building envelope components\, insulation and cladding systems. Companies include Georgia Pacific Gypsum\, Atlas Roofing Corporation\, CertainTeed Gypsum\, Master Builders Solutions\, SRP AirOutshield and BASF WALLTITE. \nMichael is a member of OBEC\, CSC (30 years) and OACETT. He is also a member of the Toronto Construction Association and served on their board of directors as the chairman of the Construct Canada Trade Show\, 1998 to 2000. \n  \nAbout the Topic: Closed Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam; much more than an Insulation\nClosed Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam (ccSPF) is well known as a “high R value per inch” insulation product. In this presentation we will discuss this and the many other characteristics and credentials of ccSPF that allow it to be used to control not only thermal\, but also air\, water\, soil gas and even fire. We will review the basic chemistry of ccSPF and some of the recent changes to the blowing agents (HFO) that result in it being one of the most sustainable insulation products (low GWP) thereby reducing the buildings embodied energy. Information on limitations\, cautions and how to ensure the product you are using is certified for Canada and that the published R value is appropriate for design purposes (LTTR). Take aways will help the designer with product selection\, Code compliance\, specifications\, and the quality of the installation. \n  \nSEMINAR PRESENTATION:\n\n\n\nClosed Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam; much more than an Insulation\n \nMichael J.
