SUMMARY:Vancouver Luncheon: Integral Waterproofing
DESCRIPTION:The Topic: \nUse of integral crystalline waterproofing systems for below-grade concrete is one of the waterproofing options available\, especially when blind-side application is necessary. However\, there are many considerations to be taken into account during the design and construction of these systems. This case study presentation discusses integral concrete waterproofing that was used for a large multi-tower development at False Creek. Subjects discussed include the following: \n\n\nSystems research and options\nWarranty considerations\nRoles of the project team members\nDesign & construction\nPost-construction and results\n\n\nThe Presenter: \nJoel Schwartz \, P.Eng.\, FEC\, BEP\, is a principal and senior building science specialist at JRS Engineering\, with two decades of building envelope consulting experience throughout the coastal areas of British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. He has presented at seminars and conferences for a variety of industry groups and professional associations\, including APEGBC and the Seattle Building Envelope Council.
