SUMMARY:RCABC Guarantee Standard For Plaza Deck Waterproofing
DESCRIPTION:This presentation provides an overview on new RCABC Guarantee Standards for Plaza Deck Waterproofing. This entails a discussion on the various membrane systems\, design requirements and waterproofing details that form part of the RCABC Guarantee Standard. \nJim Watson\, PRC\, RRO – Jim has been active in the commercial roofing industry for over 40 years. He is a trade qualified journeyman. Jim was a President for 16 years of a RCABC member commercial contracting firm on Vancouver Island prior to his current position as RGC Technical Manager. Jim has been directly involved with RCABC for over 26 years. During that time he served on the Association’s Board of Directors which included terms as both Ethics Chairman and as President in 1988-89. Jim is a past Board of Director of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) and has served 5 years on the CRCA National executive committee . Jim is also a member of the CRCA’s National Technical Committee. In 1989\, Jim was among the first eight RCABC contractor members to be awarded the Professional Roofing Contractors designation (PRC). Jim is also a member of RCI Inc. and holds the Registered Roof Observer (RRO) status with the roofing Consultants Institute. At RCABC today\, Jim makes good use of both his paid and volunteer roofing industry experience by managing the associations guarantee program as well as providing technical services and advise on British Columbia roofing issues.
